The Eclectic WAHM

So today is about looking at job postings, planning my week and getting ready for the Dream Job interview. Had to make a short grocery store run. Between coupon and store loyalty card savings, I saved 31% - or $43.81. Not bad. I'm getting better at the coupon thing and stocking up when things are on sale. I have pasta up the wazoo...but it's good and cheap. Also, I've been working on freeze ahead meals to make cooking at home easier. Got an excellent big freezer for the garage for $30 a few months ago. That's been awesome.

On the work front, I've put in applications with a few work at home companies. Waiting to hear back and hoping that works out. I've worked in the past for Alpine Access. Enjoyed that, but I'm looking for something a little different. Applied for one call center type job and one county researching job. We shall see how that works out.

Of course, there is this blog - and I'm working on my website www.eclecticwahm.com as well. So that's it for now.

One thing I have learned in my time as a WAHM is to take things one day at a time. This blog will be the day-to-day life of a WAHM/WM/SAHM - depending on the time and day.

A little about me...I've done various WAHM jobs since I was pregnant with my 10 y.o. I do take some freelance jobs that occasionally take me out of the home. Because my children are in school, my main focus hasn't necessarily been physically being at home. Our goal as a family is to remain flexible so that we can spend lots of family time as well as have time for each of us to pursue our own interests.

My attitude is "every little bit helps", so I'll share my day-to-day ways of saving money, making extra cash, job hunt tips, freebies, coupons and more. There are so many ways to make money from home and I look forward to sharing the ones I find!
